*originally recorded on 8-15-23*

Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a WCH mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a WCH mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

After CSX L810 departed the siding west of Rockmart, I chased them back over to downtown Rockmart to film this crossing. Here we see the "foamer unit" leading the train once again, as they continue their journey back to Cartersville.

This crossing is a rather nice one, featuring a 1990s CSX install that's still fully original! Thankfully, both WCH mechanical bells here still work and sound rather great together. The closer signal even still retains another diagonally-striped gate arm, which is always great to see. Like with the 4-way crossing in Cedartown, this one's had some newer conduit sticking out of the ground around it for a few years now, but it doesn't seem like CSX is in a hurry to upgrade these signals. Hopefully these signals remain here for many more years to come, but, either way, I'm glad I was able to get this one when I did.
A couple of crossings over, at Church Street, there used to be a US&S Teardrop bell. Unfortunately, CSX replaced the signal that was on a few years back and the current one now just features an NEG e-bell on it. Had it still been there, I probably would've gone for it.
