After the local freight came through, I remained waiting here and set-up to see about recording this crossing. Admittedly, I wasn't paying super close attention, despite there being an approach-lit wayside signal just to my south, so I wound-up almost letting this train sneak-up on me, only noticing it getting close when the crossing just to my north activated. Thankfully, however, I was still able to get my camera started in time for the crossing to activate. Here we get to see this train that nearly snuck-up on me: a southbound ethanol train with a pair of ES44C4s leading a Dash-9 on the head-end and another ES44C4 working as the DPU. Definitely a nice train to see, I always like seeing ethanol/oil trains.
This crossing is another decent one, featuring a mid to late-2000s BNSF install that's entirely original outside of the gate arms. Admittedly I hadn't really recorded any of these US&S installs BNSF did in the mid to late-2000s before, so I'm glad to have finally gotten one shot here. The Birmingham Sub does still retain a couple of others of these, one of which has all US&S lights at it as well. That one's down in Birmingham and, admittedly, has been on my "to record" list for a good while now.
Also, apologies for the random audio just before the crossing starts, was watching a video on my phone and had paused it when I saw this train getting close, but apparently it decided to start playing again in my pocket for no reason.
