After I caught the local freight in Tupelo, I went over to this crossing in Plantersville for my next train. After a few hours of waiting, during which I didn't see anything, I was finally able to get the local freight coming back south with the B40-8W leading the SD40-2 for power!
This crossing's another decent one, featuring a 1990s BN install (I believe) that's still largely original. In the 2000s, it appears that BNSF replaced the original bell here with the current GS Type 2 e-bell. Since then, however, nothing major appears to have changed to these signals, thankfully. Believe these are some of the oldest signals left standing along the BNSF Birmingham Sub in Mississippi these days.
