*originally recorded on 12-5-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell, a GRS gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights, a GRS gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

After catching CSX I142 in Elizabethtown, I hit the road to chase it to one more crossing. I decided to head to this crossing on the south side of Shepherdsville, where I was able to get it after a little bit of waiting. After this, I went back down to Sonora to try and wait for another train, but nothing came through before it started to get dark so I returned back to EthantheRailfanner's house.

This crossing is another very nice one, featuring a classic double-mast install by the L&N from the 1970s. These signals are fairly original, though, in the 2000s, it appears, CSX replaced the bell here with the current Safetran Type 2 e-bell. Since then, however, thankfully no major changes have occurred to this crossing, with both signals still retaining all of their original incandescent lights and GRS gate mechs.
