After shooting the southbound mixed freight with EthantheRailfanner, I continued on up into Tullahoma to grab some lunch. After picking-up some chicken to eat from the local Publix, I returned back down to this crossing to wait. After a couple hours of waiting, I was finally able to catch this CSX M648 heading north with an ES44AH leading a CM44AC and an ES40DC for power.

This crossing is a pretty nice one, featuring a mid-90s CSX install that's still fairly original. Unfortunately, in about 2020 or so (IIRC), CSX upgraded this crossing (along with the rest of the ones in Tullahoma) to LED. Since then, however, no major changes appear to have occurred to this crossing, thankfully. I'm glad to see the WCH mechanical bell here still sounds rather healthy, hopefully it remains here for many more years to come. Either way, I'm glad I was finally able to record this crossing in action though.
