*originally recorded on 5-28-24*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, a WCH mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

After I caught M648, I went over to this crossing and set-up to record it. After less than an hour of waiting, I was able to catch my next train: CSX L447 with a GP38-3 leading a GP39-2 for power.

This crossing is another nice one, featuring another decently-original mid-90s CSX install. In about 2020 (IIRC), CSX upgraded this crossing to LED along with the others in Tullahoma. Since then, however, thankfully nothing else has changed to this crossing.
Unfortunately, the WCH mechanical bell here sounds a bit rougher compared to the one at the neighboring Wiseman Road crossing, given that it takes a little bit to start and sounds a bit rough as it rings. Hopefully CSX gives it some TLC, especially since it's one of the last five mechanical bells left on the Chattanooga Sub. Either way, I'm definitely glad to have finally been able to record this crossing.
