Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and a dead NEG LED gate light.
After I caught I025, I went over to an ice cream shop in downtown Smyrna for a snack, before filming a video of a pair of traffic lights there in downtown Smyrna. After I got that video, I decided to check my phone and saw I141 was finally leaving Nashville, so I decided to chase it down to this crossing in Murfreesboro, as I heard from @EthantheRailfanner that it should have a GS Type 1. Thankfully, I was able to beat it here, and about 20 or so minutes later, was able to get my sixth and final train of the day: CSX I141 with an ES40DC leading an ES44AH for power, and a friendly crew aboard who gave a horn salute as they passed.
This crossing is another nice one, featuring a late-90s CSX install that's still decently original. Sometime between 2013 and 2017, CSX installed a pair of Dialight Low Wattage LEDs in the front lights of the far signal, leaving the rest of the crossing incandescent for some reason. Then, in 2022, CSX upgraded this crossing to Leotek EV Series LEDs, replacing the pair of Dialights here in the process as well. Thankfully, no other changes appear to have occurred to this crossing since then, and this crossing even still retains its original GS Type 1 e-bell! Hopefully this bell remains here for many more years to come, but, either way, I'm glad I was able to record it when I did.
