*originally recorded on 9-26-20*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

This was the third train & crossing Ethan and I recorded on September 26th: a northbound empty coal train with an ES44AH leading an ES40DC on the head-end and another ES44AH working as the mid-train DPU. This train was also absolutely flying, I'm willing to bet it was rolling at the speed limit for this part of the line.

This crossing is also another nice one, being a mostly-pure late-90s CSX install. Literally the only changes I'm aware of to this crossing were the LED upgrade around 2013, and the replacement of the gate lights, gate arms, and ENS signs at some point. Thankfully, the GS Type 1 here still sounds nice and loud, and hopefully it remains for a good while longer, especially as it's the last mainline GS Type 1 left along the S&NA North Sub north of Ardmore (it appears there may be one on the branch line in Lewisburg though).
