UP Coast Line, Surf CA, at the Lompoc Industrial Lead. The conductor is clearing the derail as the crewman walks back toward the locomotive having realigned the switch to the main. GP60 # 1162 - sporting a level of graffiti that is becoming the standard livery of UP in this region - is taking a single empty to the diatomaceous earth mine south of Lompoc. Side Note: The red aspect on the leaving signal is a fairly recent development. It previously remained dark until the returning train was preparing to rejoin the main, at which time CTC dispatch would give a proper indication.
