Surviving Magnetic Signal Co wigwag in Norway
Some of you may know that one of the railroads which The Magnetic Signal Co sold units to was The Norwegian State Railways. Only one I believe was installed, in Smørbekk in 1928.
I recently discovered that it somehow survived! (Edit: I asked if it was a replica, people didn’t think it was. The banner isn’t mounted on the back. I don’t know if they made models like that), and is now on display at the Norway Railway Museum. Unfortunately it seems to be broken.
This is likely the last surviving wigwag in all of Europe!!
Here’s a picture of it back when it was in service https://digitaltmuseum.no/011013108451 ... ia?slide=0
