*originally recorded on 6-25-25*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Low Wattage LEDs, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Low Wattage LEDs, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
This crossing is located in a quiet zone. Trains do not usually blow their horns at this crossing.

After filming the 4-ways in downtown Winter Park, I saw that a couple of SunRail commuter trains were approaching the station there, so I decided to wander over to this crossing to see if I could get it in action. Thankfully, the two wound-up meeting here, so, after a few minutes of waiting, I was able to catch my third and fourth trains of the day here: a northbound SunRail commuter train with an MP32PH-Q for power, pulling on the head-end, meeting a southbound SunRail commuter train with another MP32PH-Q for power, this time shoving on the rear!

This crossing is a pretty neat one, especially since it's a pedestrian crossing with another pair of gated signals. When this pedestrian crossing was created back in the 2010s, it originally featured a pair of L&W "micro-signals" like at the other pedestrian crossing here in Winter Park. However, sometime between kyleb06 visiting this crossing in 2019 and 2021, this part of the station appears to have gotten redone slightly and, in the process, SunRail replaced those tiny L&W signals with a full gated install from Siemens. Since then, nothing appears to have changed to this crossing, unsurprisingly.
I will say, I'm definitely glad I got to catch a meet here, as this has blank-out signs and speakers used to warn people of a second train coming. However, unlike other ones I've seen like this, which say "Danger! Another Train Coming", the ones here say "Warning! Another Train Coming" and play a low quality recording of what kinda sounds like a GS Type 2 e-bell to me. Still neat to get more of these recorded in action though, TBH.
They/Them for me, please.
