*originally recorded on 7-30-25*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

While waiting for the mixed freight, we saw a 284 passing through Corinth not too far behind the mixed freight, so, once we caught the mixed freight, @vtgrxrman and I raced over to this neighboring crossing to try and get it. Thankfully, a few minutes after we got here, the crossing activated and we were able to get our second and best train of the evening: NS 284 with a BNSF ES44C4 leading an FXE SD70ACe and a CSX CM44AC for power! Definitely quite a neat lash-up on this guy, even if the BNSF GEVO was leading.

This crossing is a pretty decent one as well, featuring another early-2000s NS install that's still almost entirely unchanged. It appears that the only notable change here occurred sometime between my documentation of this crossing for the site in 2019 and 2025, when NS replaced both gate arms and all of the gate lights here with the current ones. Thankfully, no other changes have occurred to this crossing, and the main lights still remain fully incandescent, which is nice to see. Due to the angle the tracks here cross at, the gate arm on the closer signal is also angled a bit, meaning that the lights on the closer signal here are all slightly off-centered a bit, which is pretty neat IMHO. The lighting here was also great at the time that we shot this video as well, IMHO. Some folks might not care for the washed-out sky, but I think it looks nice.
