This section of ex-Chicago and Northwestern Railway trackage in the village of Oregon, WI was out of service from 1996-2014 when it was rehabbed to serve the new Lycon ready-mix plant. This crossing did not have signals (in fact, may not have existed at all) the last time the line was in service.
At some point within the first year of the line being reopened, gated signals with 12x24" L.E.D.s were installed. The surprising thing was, the new signals each had a WCH mechanical bell!
Later in the video we also get a look at Netherwood Rd., which had L.E.D. lights and a second mechanical bell added since the time I took the pictures that are on the site. Based on street view, 10 years later those crossings haven't changed much. I really should take updated pictures of those along with the ones in FItchburg along the same line...
