Mill Creek Loop #2, Margerum, AL

*originally recorded on 6-24-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.

After catching NS 733, I went over to this crossing for my third train of the day, as I hadn't recorded it yet. After about an hour of waiting, NS A83 came flying through the crossing with a GP38-2 for power and a friendly crew aboard.

This crossing's a decent one, being a mid to late-2000s NS install that's still fairly original. Seems the only notable changes here were the replacements of the gate arms and ENS signage, but, otherwise, the signals are basically still the same as when they were first installed. Still glad to have gotten this crossing recorded though, it's a nice little one.
