*originally recorded on 4-1-26*

Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

After catching M212 in Verbena, we decided to try and chase them north. However, they wound-up stopping to meet a southbound train in Clanton, so we decided to head to this crossing on the north side of Clanton to catch it. Here's vtgrxrman and I's second train of the day: a southbound CSX coal train with an ES44AH leading an ET44AH for power.

This crossing is a pretty decent one, featuring an early-2010s CSX install that's still fairly original. At some point more recently, the closer signal had its gate arm and all of its gate lights replaced. I suspect the far signal will have one of its gate lights replaced before too long as well, seeing as the tip gate light was out when I filmed it. Thankfully, nothing else too notable has changed to this crossing since it was installed, it appears.
It appears that this crossing was installed not too long before CSX switched to the WCH installs with the side-mount NEGs, seeing as it's the later design of Safetran Type 3 e-bell. Despite definitely having been installed well into Invensys Rail's existence, the closer signal has a Safetran-branded gate mechanism that I'm guessing must've been NOS at the time. Definitely nice to get another of these early-2010s CSX Safetran/Invensys Rail installs filmed with its original bell still.
