Hard to say on that one... it almost looks like a regular mast. You can see a hole in the middle for where a set of lights would normally be mounted.

Would make sense though that it was a wig wag, since there is just a crossbuck on wooden pole on the other side. Unless of course the other signal got knocked down or something.

Yep. Thats another one, in Porterville. It's amazing that the FRA continues to list them as open (with wig wags) and that those crossings still have "2 trains a day".

Wow, even on the active line just to the West, there's a great combination of classic signals scattered around... Teardrop Bells, A-Frame wood gates, 'Wags... What railroad operates those tracks and what kind of traffic does that line see anyway?

That is part of the SJVRR. It is currently under Federal review for abandonment, but the area counties are fighting that tooth and nail. The line itself has been dormant for a few years.

Porterville, Ducor, Terra Bella and others are on that line, and on Mikes website.
