Interesting Railroad Crossing Combination
Hey. I saw this odd setup here in Culpeper, VA where I live. I was confused. I have never heard of some of these companies. One logo I couldnt read. You guys look at these photos and let me know what you think. Notice the open mechanical bell hatch open. I am going to report it before rain gets in there and shorts it out lol.

RACO, Safetran, General Railway Signals, WCH/WRRS, and Modern industry. Ehh popular brand of signal companies. Have to say that is the most company logos I have seen on one signal! WOW!

Rest In Peace Guilford SD26 615!

All the pictures are pretty small, but I was able to read all the logos that I could see.

Re: Interesting Railroad Crossing Combination
Yea I have to agree. I was amazed to see soooo many different companies on one setup. Especially a non-gated setup lol. They call Culpeper, VA the historic small town. Now I see why. Very few of our buildings have rebuilt or brought to modern standards. The same applies to our Railroad system too. We have a very small amount of new crossing and signal systems. Shoot, we even have some old Southern RR railway signals in place. You can also find two Penn style signals about 7 miles down the line. The crew around Culpeper don't rebuild, they just TRY to polish the old and make it look new which is why we have minor derailments on the siding for the plastics co. beside the station about once every 2 weeks lol. This signal shorted out about an hour ago due to rain because the M.O.W crews are tied up fixing a broken rail about 6 1/2 miles away. Police are sitting impatiently to direct traffic when a train comes. Just as I thought. The cause for the short: The friggin bell cover that was left open. I reported it over 14 hours ago and nothing was done lol.
