ICE (Iowa, Chicago and Eastern) 6443 has a K3LA. Odd because probably 95% or better of that railroad's blue and yellow locomotives were equipped with either P3s or Leslie RS-3LRs.

They're called double ditch lights, and they were one of the hallmarks of BC Rail.

Oddly enough, it looks like they put that horn on the "right" way, with more bells facing forward, unlike the way the horns usually are when they are on GEVOs.luke wrote:A GEVO horn on a older unit again.

All four of the non-GEVOs that have GEVO horns found so far:
CN 2597
CN/BCOL 4611
BNSF 5225
and CSXT 7352
have them mounted forwards, which isn't a surprise.
On the GEVOs and the horns made for them, a peg and plug system enforces the backwards mounting.
On other locomotives, however, the horns can be mounted however the owner pleases.
Now, all I'm waiting for is for a first generation K5[H]L to show up on an older locomotive...
(All of the ones above are the lower-pitched post-summer-2007 version; the one which I hate.)
