Yeah...instead going to the expense of 2 pair of sidelights, they just misaimed the rear mast flashers; one to each side.SirKrunch wrote:Epic fail.

I dunno...
I don't think those signals ever had "mast" lights. And I think there was a full set of sidelights there at one time, you can see the connector on the right side. Both signals have obviously been vandalized.

Is that line even in service?
You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile.

I dont think so. Judging by the look of the line, it looks like it hasn't seen a train in a couple years. He also said this was the former NS and Southern Route, so another factor that this line may be dead.AndrewFields wrote:Is that line even in service?

I have to agree with that as well. Although crossings farther to the North and South on the line have some much newer appearing signal systems... you really can't argue with the copious amounts of rust on the rails at each crossing.
