What's the proper name for this road sign?

Can't have signals without railroads, so talk about your favorite locomotives, railroads and any other (non signal) railroad related stuff.

In California it can go two ways:

Republican: Its a waste of tax dollars to print road signs in anything but the English language. Call it what it is: a further attack on the freedoms we all take for granted.

Democrat: We should add measurements in both English and Metric units, and in Spanish, Asian, Latin, and Klingon. There should also be flashing lights installed and funding provided for sensitivity training to help spot Railroad tracks running parallel to the roadway.

Since it went broke, California has gotten REALLY politically bipolar.

They're pretty common where a railroad track runs parallel to the road, they serve like an R X R warning sign for the parallel road.

There's another version that sign too, where it shows that a truck could get caught up on the crossing. I've seen them before, just can't remember where.

That's a HUMP sign I think. There's an entry on the FRA's inventory pages for one.
