...when they merged!

Here's a trio of photos of a pair of locomotives that were trailing in a consist when they stopped abruptly, possibly due to the train hitting something.


The locomotives are a Chessie Painted B&O GP40-2, and a Seaboard System painted U23B.:

The pair from a slight distance. Note the decimation of the U23's nose.

A closeup of the kissing noses.

After they were separated, this photo was taken of the GP40's damage.

Overall, this is a major :oops:

thats a bit of an epic fail. It looks like the GP40 won!
