This part is for people who are looking for particular crossing signal parts or complete signals themselves. Do not put wayside signal parts in this forum.

Looking for 4, 8" lamps and mounting crosstree

Post by jd318mike »

Looking for 4 matching lights and the mounting crosstree to mount to my pole I have. Lights can be alum or cast iron, doesnt matter. Prefer the lighter alum lights if shipping is involved. I am wanting 8" dia lights, WRRS or GRS or even GRS LEX-C I have 4 good LEX-C lenses, but need good rear housings as all of mine are broken and I havent figured out a new mount yet. I did get the bulbs mounted again, but am at a loss to fixing them otherwise.

Still looking, we would like to get the lights up and working before the 4th of July. Guess I am going to have to engineer some home brew repairs to the mounts on my LEX-C lamp housings since I am getting no responces. There is a huge pile of lights and cross tree's on the local shortline's dock as they are replacing everything with 12" LED lights. But with my work hours, I cant get down there to find someone to see if I can get a set. Mike

best advice for you is ebay. Ebay usually sells the 8" lights with the trees and the light mount all together. They either ship them or local pickup. This is the best advice I can give you besides looking for a railroad scrapyard. happy hunting to you sir.

I found lights, but still need the cross tree to mount them to. The lights I have are alum wrrs lights, the 90' elbow doesnt thread onto the arms, but has a internal "U" bolt clamp set up. Anybody have an complete alum crosstree, not sure what its really called, with 4 arms and willing to ship or lives close to Kokomo, Indiana? Thanks Mike

Thanks Kody, let me know if you turn one up. Even if just has 2 arms for one direction lights, thats fine for now. Only have 2 matching lights, my GRS LEX-C's are on a homemade mount for now. I will get pics of the lights I have incase you find some mates for them as well. Cheers Mike

I also need 2 good mirrors for my lights. I will post pics tomorrow of what style lights I have. But they are WRRS cast alum, have a rib down the middle of the back of the light, and WRRS logo under one of the side lights. Would also be interested in 2 more of these lights so I can make up a full set. Also need a cross buck. I dont have my local contacts with the signal crews like I did years ago. Thanks again. Mike
