As an aside, this is some VERY rare footage of the shortline Wisconsin Northern Railroad, which operates a couple of branch lines in sparsely populated areas of northwestern Wisconsin. The three locomotives you see in the video are their entire roster.
Is this a Safetran Type 3 e-bell?

its too far away to tell from visualizing to make a sure confirmation, but to me, it looks kinda like a GS?

Rest In Peace Guilford SD26 615!

Interesting... I looked up the area on StreetView. What's the status of the East-West line through that area. Is it in or out of service or being rehabbed or what. Following it seems to bring up a variety of different crossing conditions.
Quite an upgrade of signals for a shortline too... is that road really that busy that it warranted the upgrade from the two 12x24 flashing light signals anyway?

Well,
Re: Is this a Safetran Type 3 e-bell?
I guess the road must be fairly busy, but just based on the infrequent train traffic I don't think the upgrade was warranted. But what do I know, I'm partial to old signals anyway.
The east-west line is used from Cameron to the single customer in Barron. Part of it is used for car storage west of there, then several crossings from there to Almena are removed. On the west side of Almena the track ends and the abandoned line turns to trail.
From Cameron east to Ladysmith, the line is out of service due to lack of customers, but hasn't been abandoned yet. The last trains were in 2004 or 2005.

Hard to tell, but it sure sounds like one.
