The Los Angeles and Orange County areas were under a few separate tornado warnings today with a couple of actual touchdowns and some damage related to in/them. I know they are not unheard of in California, but definitely interesting when they do occur.
The radar images were definitely a breeding ground for them, there was one very impressive hook from the first wave. Not to mention, there was a lot of rain and hail to go w/ it. We got snow at our house (3700'), can't wait for tomorrow

Looks like tomorrow all hell is going to break lose. Got a High Wind Watch issued with gusts as high a 60 mph!
Speaking of tornadoes, yesterday we had a funnel cloud form west of Fresno but never touched down. Here's the radar image of that storm. It weaken before reaching Fresno.

The Last couple of days have just been non stop weather of all sorts, including even more twisters! The Twisters in Socal have been reported from as far north as Ventura, all the way down to Seal Beach as far as I know. Here is one picture I have found from Seal Beach. looks pretty got for a Cali twister if you ask me...
