Kind of an odd setup for both of these streets with only 1 gateless signal on the 2nd track. Wonder if that signal activates with the others or if it is independent?

Check these two pages:

Odds are that the gateless signal activates with the gated signals.

Hmmm. Still kind of an odd set up if you ask me.
So another question... if a train were to come down the 2nd track (the one with the gateless signal) I wonder if both the gated signals would still active too? Or, does the gate in the middle not go down? If it does, that could cause a car to stop in the wrong spot and get caught up on the track that has the train on it!

I wouldn't know. I haven't gotten pictures of that yet.

kinda looks like the gated crossing is the main track, and the crossing with one gateless signal is a spur or some sort of lesser used crossing, if that is the case will the FRA allow that? Elton should know...

Yeah, looks like a spur off the main line. In any case...I don't see the need for that mast signal. It should be removed and the gated signal should be moved in its place. There certianly isn't enough room for a car to stop between the tracks...from looking at the pictures.illinoistrains wrote:kinda looks like the gated crossing is the main track, and the crossing with one gateless signal is a spur or some sort of lesser used crossing, if that is the case will the FRA allow that?
