Bell Collection Video / What if you could design a bell?

Post by MikeRXR »

What if you could make your own crossing bell product?

How about a new Model 15-A upgrade with a similar looking light-weight aluminum housing and a solenoid similar to the Safetran hybrid bell, lol... Just for those classic lines that still would like a bit of charm. On a more realistic note, I would like to see some better sounds coming from the electronic bells which is very easy to do and possible.

Here is is...

If only! Anyhow, here is a video I did today of my bell collection, hope you enjoy!

I have an idea on how to make mechanical sounds come out of electronic bells, but I would need about $150 to $200 to do it, and a dead e-bell to house it in.

I'm for going back to all passive crossings for about 2 years: nothing but train horns sounding a warning. That should be enough time to clear the idiots out of the general driving population, and the survivors would Stop On Red Signal like they should.

If everybody payed attention and followed the rules, there would be no need for signals, but where is the fun in no signals?

I speak my mind, if you don't like that oh well. I'll have you fill out a hurt feelings report and submit that to my office.
