Same here. When I started actively taking pictures back in 1998, I was more focused on getting the last of the Santa Fe numbered engines and the final fling of the F40PH.

I for one haven't been looking at the updates in their entirety, mainly because having a slow Internet connection at home made it very time-consuming. Usually I would just look at crossings in areas I was specifically interested in (such as the other upper Midwestern states) or areas known to have a lot of interesting or classic signals (Massachussets, for example). I now have much faster Internet at my new apartment here in Milwaukee, so that will enable me to browse the updates more thoroughly.

Over the summer (March through the end of July) I had a very time-consuming (40+ hours/week) and stressful job that greatly limited the time I could spend railfanning or browsing updates.

I've also been focusing more on trains when I do go out (especially looking for older motive power leading on mainlines, as the Class I railroads phase out more and more standard cab EMDs, almost like diesel replacing steam or the hood unit replacing the cab unit) and scenic train pictures away from crossings.

The Milwaukee area, however, has a lot of interesting crossings, some of which I have already photographed over the last few days.
