Lantern style gate lights too!
Nice find! Back in 2008, the signal on the other side had one as well, but it looked quite bad and obviously they replaced it by 2012.
Beautiful! That is a near-complete WRRS Model 10 gate/signal (best I can tell only the signs are modern). And those No. 1585 gate lanterns even have the shields on them. It'd be kind of cool if they added one to the pedestrian gate, too. This set-up is what I used to see all the time throughout Chicagoland.
Sadly, according to a guy who lives there, the wooden gate is now gone. :Awww:

BUMP!

Almost all of the rail crossings in metropolitan Melbourne have wishbone gates! I don't even need to post street view links at all...

I don't think these were ever on this list, but I'm sure some of the regulars will remember this crossing in Marion IL that had wishbone gates:
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.7342371 ... 6656?hl=en

Sadly... they are gone:
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.7342389 ... 6656?hl=en

The remainder of odd signals along this line appear to be mostly the same... including the wig wag:
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.7323052 ... 6656?hl=en

Some of our new friends that haven't seen this line before should take the Streetview tour... it's quite interesting.

This crossing had them as well:
Before:

After:

I have to wonder if there are still any active wishbone gates left in the US...

That video is six years old, so it's not too certain to tell if that's the case.

I didn't realize that crossing had them also. :CloseEye:

Look where they left them, lantern lights and all! I doubt they are still there...

Streetview hasn't been down that particular street since 2007, but they were on a close cross street in December 2015. It appears they are gone too... :aaargh:

Satellite view backs that up, but I got confirmation from a signal maintainer in Georgia that the wooden gates there are gone, as they were supposedly removed for use on a line in Mississippi. Where they were installed though, I have no clue, if they were even installed. Anyone know if the wishbone gates in Dallas, TX are still there?

EDIT: Looks like they both are!

Also, that pair in Georgia wasn't too far from me either. :Awww:

If this is still here, then that'd make three active crossings in the US that still have wishbone gates:
US&STeardrop wrote:Sorry for bumping this, but, it seems there is a pedestrian gate in Jackman, Maine that is a Wishbone gate- http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 12,60,,1,0
Also, tangentially related, there's one for sale near me at an antique store in Paint Rock, AL:
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6703143 ... 312!8i6656
I forget how much they wanted for it, but IIRC, they were selling a working WRRS bell welded to a piece of rail with a fresh coat of paint on both for like $600 or $700, or at least somewhere around that range, so I'm willing to bet that it'd be rather expensive.
