January Photo Of The Month

Post by Crossingman18 »

OK! New Year and New Decade. Lets go Mechanical!

Put any crossing you wish that specifically has a mechanical bell. I will Allow the Safetran Hybrid because its part mechanical. No stupid Electronic Bells. I will also allow bell only crossings, or signals on defunct lines that still have a mechanical bell sitting on it.

I will Kick it off with this crossing in Maine, located in Portland. This is Revere St. 1 WCH M bell and one Safetran M bell! Too bad the crossing is in a quiet zone.

Tough decision to make, but I decided to submit this one. GRS LEX-C lights, pedestrian gates, and a pretty rusty WCH bell. There's another bell on the other side of the crossing that's just as rusty.

My submission will be the one signal wonder. Yup, that's the only signal at this crossing.

Unless it's a one-way street, what I want to know is why there a signal and an extra crossbuck on one side of the tracks, but nothing on the other?

Maybe your screen resolution is a bit large... you may have to scroll to the right a little. There is a partial crossbuck in the picture on the camera's side of the tracks.

Is that on the Jewell Sub or the old CGW line to Ft. Dodge?
