A transfer (maybe)

Post by gedunk »

There is finally an opening at the truck scale closest to where I live. If I get the transfer, it'll save me about $170 in gas and 25 hours of driving every month. I also will no longer be driving up the hill through Tehachapi every day - I'm sure my car will love that!

I'm going to miss all those photo-ops on Teahachapi grade though...Still need to get that one that I've been trying for.

Hope it works out. Saving gas money is a plus in this "economy".

Everybody I work with and the Division Sergeant seems to think it's a done deal. Maybe I'm too cautious, but I like to wait for something a bit more concrete before celebrating.

I hope to get that one Caliente shot while I'm still driving past it 5 days a week. That has been rather frustrating...
