Hanford, Ca crossing changes

Post by bnsfc44 »

Well BNSF and SJVR have been making changes to crossing here. BNSF changed 11th Ave #2. It now has a single cantilever for southbound traffic and the median signal was removed. Here's it in mid change. The median signal is on the right side of the picture.

Also they finished Lacey Blvd #1.

SJVR changed 11th Ave #1again. Earlier I had submitted pictures showing that the gates had been changed to vertical stripes. Now its back to slanted strips on new gates. And they changed Lacey Blvd #2. Before its wooden gates and now it has new gates.

When I get a day off and the weather cooperates, I will go and get updated pictures.

Guess BNSF can't make up its mind... 8" gated to 12"x24", and now to a cantilever... Won't they make up their minds?

And notice the cantilever has a Safetran gate mechanism. They used Safetrans in the past and then US&S and now back to Safetran. Again, make up your minds. They might be changing US&S to Safetran at Grand Ridge in Mazon soon so I'll keep an eye on that.
