...if it wasn't abandoned.

Look at the placement of the signals, and of the stop line on the roadway. Both signals appear to have gate motors attached to them. There was no way the center lane of that road was protected by the gates.

Quite a few signals that died an early life along this line.

Edit: Like this one for instance. One light left out of the entire bunch!

What makes you so sure it was stolen? Railroads (especially short lines looking to save a few $$$) will often salvage old equipment for parts and replacements for things that fail.

Haha... follow East to where the line goes back into service and...

C'mon, it takes talent to install both the gate AND crossbuck upside down.

Nope just one grand retard :Tongue3:
I really hope one of the adapters on the crossbuck came loose and it flipped upside down, but it looks like its in the perfect place that a crossbuck should be.

Just a guess. If the railroad wanted to salvage parts they would have snagged everything off the other crossings too. If they really wanted to save some money and got smart they would go through and scrap everything for the aluminum, steel, and iron. There are a lot of relay cases and houses, masts, and cantilevers down through there. Every bit of it would bring big money in scrap.
BINGO
you just sloved the railroads economical distress :LOL3:
also
naw STINko is a signal trainee his boss is Robert Gifted
