From the Joplin newspaper website, I did a little bit of research. It appears the wig wag was a bit north of where the main damage occurred, so it might have survived. We will just have to wait and see I guess.

Keep in mind, the tornado was almost a mile wide and is now confirmed to have been an EF5. Hate to say it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the wigwag got shredded just like everything else in the area.
