Such a sad story. School I went to their way of cracking down on bullying was called a "NO Tolerance" policy didn't do anything, but get the kid who was being bullied into trouble.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Ben Franklin
People who need a foot up their Ass affect the lives of many. There is still no cure for someone who needs a foot up their Ass, except a foot up their Ass
I speak my mind, if you don't like that oh well. I'll have you fill out a hurt feelings report and submit that to my office.

That's just horrible, that kid had so much potential, but other people has to push him down and make his life horrible to go through.

Unfortunately, bulling will never stop. We can try all we want, but there will always be people who are jerks and find fun out of picking on people smaller than them.

Very tragic.

Bullying is not new... I went through it myself 30 years ago and I'm sure most everyone on this forum has experienced it or is still experiencing it. The biggest factor in trying to control it is to speak up. If you are being bullied, or see someone being bullied, tell an adult.

The story even states that the boy mentioned something to his father about being bullied, but then the next day told his dad never mind, we are friends now. What made him change is mind is hard to say, but my guess was fear of retaliation.

Very unfortunate that his life had to end... it sounds like he was one of the good guys and had a bright future ahead.

I got bullied a lot through my school years, mainly because of my disorder and fear of fire alarms. Fortunately I had support of many adults and teachers and suicide was never something I thought of. It's so sad when you hear stories like this.

wrong, just wrong! bullying just makes me sick. I had to go through it in 6th and 7th grade and here I am in my final year of High school and I look back at it now and look at them mature. I was bullied for my knowledge of trains. a couple people walked by me and said "choo choo!" in the hallways. pisses me off. Bullying is serious! a lot of us have expierenced it! we need to stop it.

My friend (a fellow railfan) got attacked by some other students in the bathroom recently. :Cry1:

I honestly hate it when people bully other people because of their looks/interests/nationality/religion. It just makes me sick.
They/Them for me, please.

I get bullied all the time because of my hobby of trains.Last school I was at I purposely flunked out of because I was literally tortured there everyday and the teachers and Principal NEVER did :Censored: about it.Even the teachers picked on me because of it.I am so traumatized from that school I sometimes have nightmares. At one point the bullying was so bad I could not even go to the tracks down the street to enjoy my hobby because the kids that tortured me would always come there and try to hurt me.They would throw spikes, tieplates, rocks, and one time even a cut off piece of rail at me.I never EVER want to go through something like that again.People need to start doing something about bullying.

My teacher showed us this video one day about bullying. Quite emotional.

They/Them for me, please.
