Looks like the signal on the far side approach from the cameraman had something preventing the gate from going back far enough to keep the lights from activating, or caught in the gate keeper.
At least the majority of drivers are smart to stop and actually look before crossing.

But, check out the idiot at the 3:45 mark!

GP is open, causing the lights to flash, as it is obvious the gate is hung up on the windguard. Mech may have gotten spun a little and when the gate went up, it was not aligned correctly.

No need for a windguard with gates as short as those.

Flat metal windguards are the worst, the tubular ones are usually pretty good if you can halfass keep the gate arm aligned.
