Noisy little bells, aren't they...

No wonder why Elton wants them shut off. I can see where they'd drive you crazy after 30 seconds.

Yeah, those WABCO bells are very loud...but I have to tell you...I could listen to those for a while and It wouldn't annoy me at all, since they sound so good... :LOL:

nice videos! i like how the bell rings when Elton lifts up the gates in the first video.

Bell is activated when the X relay is dropped (as in, the detection circuit senses a train is coming) and also when the gate is anywhere but horizontal (Down). -Has to be both. Thats why they don't ring going back up.

Anyway, Owens, looks different seeing it from your camera.

I am glad you got these, pretty neat. ...And it proves I do actually do some work! :cool:

I figured out which configurations produce the other three bell patterns:

Bell isn't wired through X relay or gate motor:
Bell sounds continuously.

Wired through X relay only:
Bell sounds from startup to just before gates rise.

Wired through gate motor only:
Bell(s) sounds when gate(s) are in motion.
