12x24" lights on RRSC light brackets

Post by 0333 »

On a recent upgrade at a railroad crossing near where I live I saw some interesting looking unmarked 12x24 inch lights on light brackets from RRSC, a company I've heard of before. Does anyone know what RRSC is or what the company that made the lights is? I'll post pics of the LEDs later.

Interesting, might be a new company.

The lights remind me of Safetran lights in the design. It is possible that Siemens removed the Safetran badging from the back of the lights. They did it before with Mark IV 12 inch traffic light sections when Siemens bought Mark IV, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did it with Safetran as well.

I've seen those types of lights somewhere on StreetView and the images were taken before the buyout of Invensys to Siemens, so I doubt it's them.

I found out that those lights are Alstom lights.

These are actually RSI lights. That makes sense, since these lights were installed by VTA.

Oh cool. Didn't know that. Did you get better pictures?
Also, I like the WABCO gate mechanism in the picture you already posted.

Thanks. I do have many other pictures that are better, but I haven't posted them yet.
