*originally recorded on 3-8-18*

Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and unknown (Progress Rail?) gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a WCH Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

Bumped into a signal maintainer while checking-up on the crossings on the part of the ATN, so I decided to rerecord this crossing from this side so I could get a better recording of the WCH e-bell here. The only change since I was last here was that the gate arms were re-striped and the gate lights were replaced.

After I saw the ATN shoving back north, I decided to move over to the next crossing down, which was this one. After another little while of waiting, I heard the train beginning to approach and shortly thereafter, they came flying through with that SD40-2 roaring the whole way! After this, they were gonna stop on the south side of Albertville to switch Progress Rail, and then a new crew was going to get onboard, but I decided it'd be best just to head on home, so this was my final video of the day.

There's been a few changes since I last recorded this crossing, which was back in 2018. First off, the Progress Rail(?) gate lights on the closer signal were replaced with more NEG LEDs, which I can't say I'm too surprised by. Secondly, and this one kinda surprised me, the WCH Type 3 e-bell that was here has been replaced with another WCH Type 4! Not entirely sure why this happened, but I'm guessing the Type 3 just died sometime within the past year and a half or so. Either way, this crossing still retains the only WCH e-bell in Albertville (along with the northernmost one on the ATN), so it's still a bit unique, I suppose.

Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a WCH Type 4 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4.5 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights, 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

Y102 was having to run across Albertville to the passing siding on the other side of the city to pick-up some more cars for Colormaster, so I decided to set-up here and wait for them to shove back north. After a bit of waiting, I was able to catch ATN Y102 shoving back north to Colormaster with another cut of covered hoppers to deliver.

For whatever reason, since I last recorded this crossing, the ATN has replaced one of the side lights on the closer signal with an incandescent Safetran 12x24 inch light that I suspect is reused from another crossing. I suspect a truck must've knocked the previous Harmon light off, as the stop sign next to that signal appears to have had its post bent, and the stop sign itself along with the street blade above it appear to be fairly new as well. Thankfully, nothing else has changed to this crossing, and it's still fully incandescent as well.
