Here's the crossing with the new RACO 8 inch light at it:

Signal on the left: 1.5 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights and 1 RACO 8 inch light.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, 1 pair of RACO 8 inch lights, and a Safetran mechanical bell.

This crossing had an interesting, though minor, change at it recently, as one of the rear lights on the left-hand signal was recently changed from a Safetran 8 inch light to a RACO 8 inch light! Other than that, no changes here, though I'm quite glad this classic set-up still hangs on!

No changes here, though the train does have a cool lash-up:

Finally got a recording of the recently upgraded lights here:

*originally recorded on 9-15-18*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 8 inch lights, 1 pair of RACO 8 inch lights, and a Safetran mechanical bell.

This was the final crossing I chased NS 26Q to, and I just barely beat him here as well. I had plans to get a record of this crossing much earlier, as NS upgraded it a while back to have the current 12 inch lights on it. However, it still remains rather interesting as the left-hand signal features re-used lights from Bellefonte Road in Hollywood, AL while the right-hand signal has had only the front lights upgraded, making for an interesting look in addition to retaining two of the three pairs of 8 inch lights it originally had along with the Safetran mechanical bell. Hopefully it remains this way for many more years to come. Though I will admit it does look a bit weird with 12x24 inch lights on the signals rather than the 8 inch lights here previously.

Recorded the other side of the crossing on 4-17-19, getting a good look at the MI 12x24s that are here:

*originally recorded on 2-1-21*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 8 inch lights, 1 pair of RACO 8 inch lights, and a Safetran mechanical bell.

After catching 362 in Woodville, I chased it on over to this crossing in Scottsboro for one final shot of the day. As you can see, nothing too major has changed to the crossing here. However, since I last filmed this crossing, it appears that the closer signal was struck by a car. As a result, its base was replaced, and the bell now leans back on the top of the mast. Still works quite well though.

*originally recorded on 11-6-24*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, and a Safetran mechanical bell.

This was the last place I chased NS 286 to. I thought about hanging around here some more after, as I knew at least one more train was coming, but the rain didn't seem like it'd be letting-up much before sunset. As such, I decided instead to head on home for the afternoon.

As I had discovered here back in July, sometime earlier this year, NS went through and replaced the remaining two pairs of 8 inch lights at this crossing. As a result, the closer signal now has two pairs of Safetran 12x20s on it, making all of the lights on it Safetran, probably for the first time since it was installed. I'll definitely miss the 8 inch lights here though, especially the RACO 8 inch lights this crossing used to have. Definitely quite glad I've gotten all of those videos of this crossing here over the years.
At least the Safetran mechanical bell here still manages to live-on.
