Signal on the left: 6 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, a GRS gate mechanism, and some unknown 4 inch gate lights.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, a Harmon 12x24 inch light, a Safetran 12x24 inch light, a Modern Industries mechanical bell, a GRS gate mechanism, and some unknown 4 inch gate lights.
I believe this is the last crossing on the ATN to have GRS gate mechs, also, this is the furthest north in Alabama you'll find a GRS gate mech.

Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, a GRS gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, a Harmon 12x24 inch light, a Safetran 12x24 inch light, a Modern Industries mechanical bell, a GRS gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
After getting the ATN at US 278, I knew they'd have to stop at the NS Diamonds, so I hopped on over to this crossing. However, after a while of waiting, they finally approached...
...and stopped just short of the crossing. Turns out that there wasn't room for them in the yard, so they had to wait for some space to be cleared out.
However, they did get close enough to the crossing to activate & time it out, so I was still able to get this video of it. Maybe I'll return here in the future and get a train through here again. Either way, it's quite nice to see these old L&N signals are still holding on strong here, especially since this crossing has just one of two mechanical bells north of the Gadsden Yard, these days.
The only change that I'm aware of to this crossing since I last recorded it was that all of the gate lights are now LED gate lights of two different models.
It appears that the far signal has lost its stabilizer on the gate arm though, and as a result the arm now bounces noticeably when it lowers, causing the MI bell here to come back on briefly. The tip gate light on that signal has also gone dead, no idea if it's related to the issue with the gate arm or not though.
