Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Dotted LEDs and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Dotted LEDs.
With this video, I have now recorded all of the signalized public crossings in Huntsville! The reason why the one LED is as dead as it is is because people have shot-up this crossing, though it was mostly the relay case and the Stop on Red Signal signs.
This is also the only crossing in Huntsville, if not all of Alabama, to have Stop on Red Signal signs.

The "STOP ON RED SIGNAL" sign looks a lot like the one's used on our crossings...
(100th post BTW)

Metro, why do you keep removing Mechanical bells?!

Those are some noisy LEDs... The buzz buzz buzz each time they flash distracted me.
Well,
Re: Ditto Marina Parkway, Huntsville, AL
Those aren't the LEDs, but just some bugs. That buzzing was being produced before the signal even activated.SirKrunch wrote:Those are some noisy LEDs... The buzz buzz buzz each time they flash distracted me.

And a third video that I shot today, with HMCR 8539 making an appearance (with somewhere around 70-80 gondolas/hoppers)!
They/Them for me, please.

One more video from yesterday, this time showing the HMCR's newest engine: HMCR 8524!
Also, the signal on the left has had one of the LEDs in it get shot recently, which destroyed a noticeable portion of the lens on the LED.

Re: Ditto Marina Parkway, Huntsville, AL
*originally recorded on 7-6-20*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Dotted LEDs.
Signal on the right: 1.5 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Dotted LEDs, 1 Harmon 12x24 inch light with an Electro-tech LED, and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.
When the HMCR got to Rocket, they stopped, cut-off HMCR 9554, and then had the B39-8 pair pull some cars out of the way. After that, they sent HMCR 9554 south running lite to pick-up 24 cars from south of Aldridge Creek, so we got to see them use this crossing, which is probably the hardest to get one on their line right now.
This crossing, of all crossings, has actually had a change since I last filmed it. The damaged Harmon Dotted LED on the left-rear light on the closer signal has been replaced with an Electro-tech LED! Probably should've seen about filming from the other side, though I wanted to get a proper video of the north side of the crossing since I hadn't really ever been able to get one, and I wasn't sure when my next chance would be. Either way, it's still neat to see this crossing in action, especially with the inverted SORS signs. Apparently this crossing's also gotten a fresh coat of paint on its lights, IIRC.
We also got to meet-up with Luke here, as he was busy repatching some bullet holes on the relay case.
