Another crossing from Cootamundra and another teardrop bell. This one is at the Cowcumbla St crossing, on the main line between Sydney and Melbourne.

The signals here were installed in November 1967. Both signals have unmarked bases and McKenzie & Holland 8 inch lights, fitted with LED inserts. The Safetran gate mechs were only installed in the last couple of years, and replaced the original WRRS/GRS Type D mechs. The western signal has a WCH m-bell which rings from start up until the gates begin to rise, and the eastern signal has a McKenzie & Holland teardrop bell which only rings until the gates have lowered.

With this video I have now filmed all of the teardrop bells in the Cootamundra, Junee and Temora area. This is my last video for 2016, the weather is now becoming too hot for filming and the flies are also quite bad.

The crossing on GSV. This is the most recent image from 2010, back then the crossing still had the old Type D mechs and wishbone gates! https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.648 ... 312!8i6656
