Signal on the far left: a blank-out sign and a NOVAX DS100 Series speaker

The Hoboken Light Rail is a bit weird, especially when it comes to crossings as there's only three signalized crossings along the entire line: the two at this station and a private crossing to the north of here. The rest of the crossings use traffic lights as warning. To make things even weirder, the bells at these two crossings at the station don't even work! Instead, they use NOVAX DS100 Series speakers that are meant to be used on traffic lights as their bells, playing what sounds like a General Signals Type 1 sound. The crossings also have some detection issues, as whenever a train is leaving the station, the crossing doesn't activate until the train is already in the crossing! For some other strange reason as well, each signal only has one pair of lights and they face the far side of the crossing from the signal.

It also sounds like the speaker on the east side is very slow to start, not activating until well after the signals have started. In fact, it doesn't even activate when a train leaves the station due to how slow it starts. I have a feeling it'll die soon.
