very lucky to live two-three blocks away from three teardrop bells. one of which i see at least once a week!

Not really all that weird, just your typical Safetran WT/F cantilever (yes, that's their actual model name). Also, Harmon and/or Progress Rail/Lincoln Industries made their own version of it, IIRC.
