*originally recorded on 10-4-18*

Signal on the left: 1 pair of WCH 8 inch lights and 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 8 inch lights and a dying Modern Industries mechanical bell.

This crossing is a pretty nice one, featuring another later L&N install, though with the WCH cantilever on the left featuring a pair of WCH 8 inch lights, likely put up by CSX during their brief ownership of this line. Sadly, the classic MI mechanical bell at this crossing is obviously starting to wear out, so I wouldn't be surprised if it winds-up getting replaced at some point in the relatively near future. US 231 can be seen on the other side of the bridge on the other side of the crossing.
They/Them for me, please.

*originally recorded on 8-25-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 8 inch lights and a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of WCH 8 inch lights and 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights.

This was the second train I caught on August 25th, which was the second deadhead Star move back to the yard, with another F40PH for power.

Since I was last here, the dying MI bell here was replaced with a GS Type 3 e-bell. I believe this was one of the first bells RJ Corman replaced after taking over the NERR, as it was replaced in 2019, though I ain't too surprised given how worn-out the MI bell was. Thankfully, the rest of the classic L&N equipment here is still around.
