*originally recorded on 10-17-18*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights and a WCH mechanical bell.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights and a WCH mechanical bell.

This crossing was one I had tried several times to record back in 2015, none of which were successful, so I'm finally glad to have gotten a recording of it! The left-hand signal appears to be from the A&WP or SBD, with the bell having been installed by CSX in the 1980s. The right hand signal and the lights on the left-hand signal were installed by CSX in the 1990s. Both bells sound a bit rough, though it's rather nice getting to record a gateless CSX crossing with incandescent lights and two mechanical bells, especially here in Alabama! It appears the signals have gotten a bit of paint since I was last here as well. There's a bridge that was right behind me along Cunningham Drive that was closed at the time I was there, as they were finishing up replacing it. I had to move my camera back a bit in the beginning to let the dump truck seen through as well.
