After catching the BAYL running, I went out to Georgia to try to catch A724. I went out to this crossing, and after waiting a little while, A724 came rolling on through with an ES40DC leading an AC44CW.
This was the first crossing I caught A724 at, and as you can expect, it's a pretty nice one. This crossing is a WCH 1970s SCL install that remains pretty much completely unchanged from when it was installed, with really only the signage, gate arms, and gate lights having ever been replaced, as is typical on this line. Either way, it's certainly nice to see one of these installs completely unchanged, as they look rather nice, IMHO. The closer WCH bell does sound like it's a bit rough, but I'm glad that it's managed to hang on.
They/Them for me, please.
