New Manual? Gate Crossing In Grapevine TX

This is on the old Cotton Belt line beside SH 26 across from Mustang Stadium. This track was recently upgraded for use by TexRail (Trinity Metro). If you look closely, you will see some small electronic boxes at the bottom of the poles. Because of this I cannot figure out if they are manual or somehow remote controlled. I plan on photographing this one, but wont legally be able to get on the other side.
