Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Dotted LEDs and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of US&S 8 inch lights and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.

After catching L781 in Franklinton, we were going to try to chase it to a crossing in Dry Branch, but the train got there before we could, so we just continued on to this crossing on US 80 a bit outside of Ripley.

This crossing is another pretty nice one, being the only other active gateless crossing on the Georgia Central. It appears that originally, there was a pair of gateless SAL signals here (with one US&S Teardrop bell on the closer signal), though it appears that the original signal on the far side got struck at some point in the 1970s and replaced with a newer SCL signal. Then, sometime between 2008 and 2009, a few upgrades were done to the signals.
On the far signal, it appears that the mast was either shortened or replaced (but the base was kept) and the lights were upgraded to Safetran 12x24s with Harmon Dotted LEDs with a GS Type 2 added onto the signal. On the closer signal, the only change to it (thankfully, though still sadly) was that the Teardrop bell was replaced with another GS Type 2. Since then, no changes have occured here, thankfully, especially since this is the last crossing along the line with US&S 8 inch lights!
