Stop Signs, Advance Warning, and other lights request
I have an oddball request here...
If anyone nearby lives close to any kind of Stop Sign, Advance Warning Sign, School Zone, Stop Ahead, or any other kind of sign that has flashing lights, please take some pictures of them.
I won't explain why I want them taken yet. I will explain in due time.

I can get you three:
- School zone speed limit flashers
- 'PREPARE TO STOP WHEN LIGHTS FLASH' traffic signal ahead sign
- STOP signs with flashing red lights hung from an overhead wire.
Let me know if these will work for you and I'll go about getting them.

You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile.

That's good, but here's what I was looking for:

Here's another picture: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3178/302 ... c5.jpg?v=0

Basically, what they call "beacons":
Just these on masts is all, either with one or two lights.

We have several solar-type warning lights installed around town. I have seen red ones pop up on some 4 way stop intersections. We also some yellow ones. These are on StreetView:Smjh1979 wrote:One more example too: http://www.sudansolar.com/solar%20road%20lights.html

I'll get some better pictures of these and possibly a short video if you want so you can see the flash rates. The yellow signals above have a strobe effect when they flash.

Interesting....
Are there any red ones, like with stop signs? Those are interesting to me.
Video isn't necessary, but thanks anyways.

Mike...I can't say I've ever seen a pole-mounted red beacon in Oregon. If it has a flashing red light, it's hung overhead, usually by a wire. I can get you the other two I offered, however. Let me know.

If the other two are mounted on a mast, go ahead.

Yes... there are several. Are you just interested in the solar-type ones? We have a few of those that are new, and some older ones that are pole mounted but have a control box that controls the flasher.Smjh1979 wrote:Interesting....

Solar is okay. Any kind mounted on a mast is okay. None hanging on wires.
